Ace Medicare Clinics Limited (AMCL) started organising international medical conferences in December 2009 as a platform for generating continuing medical education to participants.
The first in the series had the theme "Cutting edge technology for improved global healthcare" It was held at the Covenant University Guest House, Ota, and was co-sponsored by Artemis health Institute in India. It drew resource persons from Nigeria and India, and 233 participants.
The next in the series was held in July 2010 in collaboration with Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Lagos. The theme of that conference, which held at LUTH, was 'Advances and latest surgical techniques in Orthopaedics", and had 65 participants in attendance.
In December 2010, 120 participants gathered again at Covenant University Guest House, Ota, for two days to brainstorm on many topics under the theme "Evolving concepts in managing medical and dental health"
The conference in July 2011 was dedicated exclusively to issues surrounding malaria control, hence it was tagged Malaria Conference. It came shortly after AMCL was officially accredited as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). There were 243 participants.
