Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with Great pleasure that i am today, delivering 'a goodwill' speech to this highly intellectual crowd.
As we all may know, Principally the main body embracing all Doctors, in Nigeria, practicing Medicine Privately, is the Association of General and Private Medical Practitioners of Nigerian (AGPMPN), a member of the World Organization of Family Physicians (WONCA), that has its Secretariat in the republic of Singapore. The Guild of Medical Directors comes as one of the offshoots of AGPMPN. All Doctors, however, are under the umbrella of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA)

The AGPMPN, the body I am representing this morning, exists basically:

• To Promote the advancement of Heath & allied sciences
• To Promote improvement in medical education and the health of the public
• to cooperate with regional and international organizations that have similar aims & objectives, in promoting health matters
• to collaborate with the Govt. of the Federal Republic of Nigerian, at all levels, in the provision of efficient, effective & affordable health
• to Promote the welfare and interactions of members, to improve on practice.

The Above listed, and many others, form the mission, goals & vision for establishing the AGPMPN.

The Arrangement, the organization to having this International conference, is a clear indication of some of the struggles of AGPMPN.

That the 'initiative', (Individual/ collectively) is coming from one of AGPMPN 'children is  something to savour from.
It is real, big  'kudos' to : Dr Wole Kukoyi , MD  of Ace Medicare clinics Ltd, Artemis Health institute, based in Gurgaon, Indian, and other distinguished collaborations, partners, plus resource persons.
AGPMPN is very proud of you all, especially in the promotion of Total Health Care, and contribution to professional developer and empowerment of Nigerian Doctors.
AGPMPN therefore, partners with you, to make sure your efforts are not in vain; Already appreciative of 2009 conference (that was hilarious, academic and result-oriented), plus the one had, in collaboration with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), July this year
Bet, this particular conference will surpass others- Theme, “Evolving concepts in managing Medical  & Dental Health”, is bound to generate and invoke useful discussions.
